I am in the library so I have been wondering about the ways to use my website in the library.
1. One way that I can use the webpage is to share information with my students. I have found that since I don't see the same students every day, and truthfully I have yet to probably have every student in the school come to my library, my webpage is super important in drawing kids in. Having said that, I know how to post information, what I am unsure about is how to increase the traffic to my website. Regardless, I can use the webpage to let kids know about activities in my library, and new books that we have available.
2. I can use the website as a clearing house for information for my teachers. For example, this year I created a handout specific to each department about the ways that teachers can use world book encyclopedia. What I need to do is to put that handout online so that teachers can easily access that information, even after they have misplaced the flyer.
3. My website should be used to increase interaction with my students on social media. If I could learn how to integrate Facebook, twitter and the webpage, I think my students and my faculty and staff would benefit from all the information that I can provide! The trick is to make it easily accessible and easy to remember where to find the information and links that I have.
